Rural Health Teaching Sites

The University Centre for Rural Health, Tasmania (CRH) has a network of rural hospital and community-based learning environments dedicated to rural health teaching, learning and research.

Rural Health Teaching Sites aim to:

  • provide alternative models of health education
  • establish a university presence in rural communities
  • develop the role of local health professionals as teachers and researchers
  • provide easy and affordable access to professional education
  • address population and public health issues through research and teaching
