University Centre for Rural Health, Rural and Remote Funds
Nursing Students
The University Centre for Rural Health provides Tasmanian undergraduate nursing students with funds to help with the cost of travel or accommodation. For full details of the program, please go to:

Allied Health Health Students
The CRH encourages allied health studetns to undertake clinical placements in rural Tasmania by providing a range of support resources:

Commonwealth Assistance for Rural Placements
Additional funding can be accessed to support rural placements. The Commonwealth Government allocates funds to medical students and pharmacy students to assist with costs associated with rural placement experiences.
Rural Scholarships
The Australian Government offers a range of scholarships in medicine, nursing, pharmacy and other health professions to encourage students to undertake a health career in regional, rural and remote Australia. There are also scholarships available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and for health professionals who wish to upgrade their qualifications.
